Casey: Feeling Escape part deux

Link is to an archive thread at CaseyHaterz.com duplicating Casey's post and comments.

The post is almost entirely advice for how to start blogging.

Blogging too often or too much is an easy thing to fall into. Spending too much time on your “baby” blog can end up owning your life. I’ve even heard of ruined marriages from blog over-indulgence. We won’t name any names of course.

I personally think that you could get a better introduction to blogging from Gabe & Max's How To Get The Dreamlife Of Your Dreams Using The Internet.

It's still available in the Google cache here http://72.14.205.104/search?q=cache:ZouG5QYASogJ:foreclosurehelpbook.com/30/herding-cats-day-67-with-snowflake+%22break-dancing+around+the+office%22+Casey&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=1&gl=ca. I had trouble finding it, but it finally worked when I used "break-dancing arounnd the office". The 36 comments are there, too.

Herding Cats - Day 67 with Snowflake

Lots of questions about how Casey’s doing, what he’s doing, if he’s alive or possibly locked in the Lamborghini trunk. For the record Snowflake is tough to fit in the micro boot on the Gallardo, it’s darn small and tough to squish the guy in there!

To those out there who only wish ill on Casey and are salivating at the thought of him exploding through fusion or being carted away to Club Fed, your dreams are going to be spoiled. Casey is alive, he’s kickin and he aint goin anywhere close to jailhouse rock. Casey is doing what almost nobody on the planet is doing including most of the idiotic haterz out there. He’s stepping up and taking responsibility. He’s working his ass off here at FHB and is not blaming anyone other than himself for the mess he’s in. He did in the past, talking about how the evil lenders wronged him etc…predatory lending…yada yada but those days are over…I believe in him and his commitment to make things right with all those who have been burned by his actions. Am I delusional, maybe. But I do believe in the human spirit and I believe in his intention. Some you you can’t possibly read this without telling me I’m nuts…bring it on!

I of all people should be hesitant and running a hundred miles an hour in the opposite direction of young flip-flop. Instead I’m sticking with him and trusting in him. One of the other crew likened this production and my job to that of herding cats. Casey is one of the most caffeinated felines I’ve ever encountered. Ever tried to catch a loose chicken? It’s kind of like that.

We’ve planned things and Casey changes them during 2am inspirations and then repents the next day when I call him on it. He has all sorts of wild energy and wants to contribute, help people and be successful all at once. His original claim to fame involved buying, borrowing and blowing up on USA Today. For that he’s gained this reputation of being a flake, a criminal and a public entertainment piece. He is pretty funny, especially when he starts break dancing around the office, but a criminal or a flake? Not a chance. Y’all gotta get a grip, get a life and find something productive to do instead of tearing down someone who went after his dreams and is candid enough to share his youthful pursuits. Some of you obviously have no lives, it’s kind of pathetic.

I know from personal experience, (outside of the glamorous Ivy Tower degrees that some of the readers claim and continue to stand on and preach from) that it’s a hell of a lot harder to step out in traffic and go after success than sitting on the sidelines watching. More than half the time those of us jumping out find we’re face to face with the grill of a locomotive. Sure it’s safer and easy to criticize those of us out there. My opinion is that those of you hyped and focused on criticism are big FAT LOSERS. The daring few that jump in front of the train are those that we learn about in history class.

Just who am I calling out? The ones who say we don’t know what we’re talking about. The ones who say go get a job to pay down your debts. The ones who can’t deal with anyone doing well because it gives you a security complex. If this is you, ask yourself why you feel threatened by others’ pursuits of greatness? The bottom line is we all have it in us to accomplish anything but most get scared of failing so stop before even starting. Do us a favor and get out of the way!

Larry Winget’s book, “Shut Up, Stop Whining and Get a Life” says it all. I think a lot of folks would be well served to pick up a copy and find something useful to do and say instead of bitching and criticizing those who are busting their asses like we are here at FHB to actually make a difference and make our lives matter. Think about it.
